• OBVIATING MYOCARDIAL DAMAGE BY COMBINED THERAPY OF CARVEDILOL AND CARICA PAPAYA IN RATS
Abstract
The present study was carried out to explore the cardioprotective potency and interaction of papaya (carica papaya) with carvidilol against isoprenaline (ISO) induced myocardial damage in rats. Male Sprague Dawley rats were pre-treated with carvidilol (CAR) (2 mg/kg, ten days, po), low and high doses of papaya leaves juice ( 200 and 500 mg/kg, 30 days, po), and in combination and subsequently subjected to ISO administration.......
